Mr. Eggers is of counsel to American Business Appraisers, PC and holder of a Certificate in Educational Achievement and the specialized Accreditation in Business Valuation issued by the AICPA in the Business Valuation field.

Mr. Eggers is also a Master Certified Business Appraiser (MCBA) and member of the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation as certified by the American Society of Appraisers. He specializes in business valuations and litigation support services. He has been appointed as a Special Master in three Bay Area County Superior Courts, and by special appointment has provided consultation services to the court judiciary, participated in a colloquium on advanced business valuation issues sponsored by the California State Judicial Council and made instructional presentations to finance, accounting and legal professional organizations on business valuation issues. He has participated in over 900 valuation engagements. Prior to founding ABA LLP (1989), Mr. Eggers was a partner in the international accounting firm of Arthur Young participating in merger and acquisition activities and providing entrepreneurial and valuation services to a wide range of clients.

Mr. Eggers presented continuing education presentations to the local bar association on various business valuation topics including development of capitalization and discount rates, the differences in market vs. income approach to valuation and the standard of value used in various engagements and assignments. At the request of the Rutter Group and California State Judicial Council, Mr. Eggers made presentations to California’s top lawyers and judges on various business valuation and financial statement analysis topics. Mr. Eggers was the co-chair of IBA’s Qualification Review Committee, responsible for approving applications for credentialed certification, as well as Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee for the IBA. Mr. Eggers provided technical assistance to a project group working on the valuation of the Panama Canal for its millennium transfer. Mr. Eggers has been a guest lecturer at Santa Clara University Graduate School of Business and is currently a certified instructor for ASA’s Business Valuation courses BV201/BV202.

During his more than 40-year career, Mr. Eggers has provided transaction advisory services, valuation services and Board of Directors oversight to a range of privately help companies. Since 2000, he has directly negotiated actual merger or sales transactions in excess of $1.0 billion.
