As a prosecutor, Reg conducted countless criminal investigations and grand jury presentations, executed numerous search warrants, tried jury trials and secured negotiated pleas on hundreds of criminal matters. Reg is also an expert in education, employment discrimination, and labor disputes as a founding school principal, superintendent, and non-profit executive.

Reg is a 2004 graduate of the University of Chicago (at age 19), receiving a BA in Political Science. Reg graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, as a Senior Editor of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Honor Society and President of the Student Bar Association for two years in a row. While at Cardozo Reg participated in the renowned mediation clinic and is also a Peace Institute trained mediator.

Prior to joining the Melnick Team at JAMS, Reg concluded a 20-year career in the public sector, most recently serving the Alvin L. Bragg administration as Deputy Chief of Legislation and Policy. In addition to lead mediator on numerous pro-bono mediations, Reg has participated in the mediation of numerous complex commercial disputes with Jed Melnick, including, but not limited to, securities and insurance litigation, class actions of all types, bankruptcy proceedings, and alleged violations of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

Reg is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Committee, the Vice President of Finance for the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, and the President of the Sterling Johnson New York Chapter of the National Black Prosecutors Association.
